SSR International Airport received the award for Best Airport of 2 to 5 million passengers in Africa yesterday evening. The ceremony was held yesterday evening, as part of ACI's international symposium on Customer Airport Experience in South Korea. AML-ATOL CEO, Mr D. Baichoo received the trophy from ACI Director General. An opportunity for the CEO to highlight once more the formidable contribution of all staff in winning this prestigious award for the second consecutive year.
It is with much pleasure that AML and ATOL are announcing that Airports Council International (ACI) has awarded SSR International Airport, Best Airport in the Africa Region in its category for the second consecutive year. The rankings of the ACI Airport Service Quality (ASQ) for year 2022 were released this morning.
This newest achievement not only recognises the high standards put forward by our country and airport, as a prime destination for leisure and business but also acknowledges the contribution of all the partners in our sector. Obviously, this results from the collective and sustained efforts of the whole airport community at SSRIA, geared towards the ultimate aim of delivering the best possible services to our passengers.

Following the issue of the Termination bulletin by the Mauritius Meteorological Services, Airports of Mauritius Co. Ltd (AML) informs all intending passengers and the public that the SSR International Airport will reopen and resume its operations at 08:00Hrs (Local Time), on this Tuesday 21 February 2023.
However, intending passengers are strongly advised to contact their respective airlines for further information on the status of their flights and not to proceed to the airport, unless receiving confirmation of the revised departure time.
In order to ensure a smooth resumption, access to the Check-in Hall of the Terminal will be temporarily restricted to departing passengers.
AML relies on the understanding and collaboration of all towards restoring normal airport operations at the earliest.

Suite à l’avertissement de cyclone de classe 3 en vigueur actuellement à Maurice, l’aéroport international SSR cessera temporairement ses opérations, ce lundi 20 février 2023 à partir de 07H10.
De ce fait, les voyageurs concernés sont invités à prendre contact avec leurs compagnies aériennes respectives, afin de confirmer la programmation de leurs vols. Il est aussi demandé aux voyageurs de ne pas se diriger vers l’aéroport sans avoir obtenu une confirmation de départ.

SSR International Airport Operational
Airports of Mauritius Co. Ltd (AML) informs all intending passengers and the public that SSR International Airport remains operational this Friday 27 January 2023.
Measures have been taken, as far as possible, to maintain normal operations and services.
AML recommends to passengers and to the public to take all necessary precautions in view of the deteriorated weather conditions prevailing.
In the context of the International Volunteer day 2022, AML and ATOL staff volunteered to clean up the motorway leading to the SSR International Airport. This initiative aims at contributing to the national efforts being made to improve the cleanliness of the country. At the end of the activity, some 10,200L of waste, including 4000L of PET bottles were collected from the roads.
AML and ATOL will continue to work together to implement additional initiatives for a "Cleaner Airport Environment."
SSR International Airport again distinguished itself during the ACI World–Africa Annual General Assembly, Conference & Exhibition 2022 held in Morocco end of October. Indeed, during a special Awards Ceremony hosted by ACI Africa, AML received the Safety Award 2022—Excellence in Safety Management System for the Eastern Africa Region.
This recognition comes at an opportune time where traffic is gradually picking up and where the sector needs all the incentives it can take to put it back firmly on the way of recovery.
AML and ATOL in collaboration with the National Blood Transfusion Service of the MOH&W are hosting a Blood Donation on 28 October 2022 at the Ground Floor of the Passenger Terminal of SSRIA.
This initiative aims at supporting the National Blood Bank is reconstituting its stock and keeping same at an acceptable level to cater for medical emergencies.
